no school for Preschool/Pre-K and Kindergarten . . . . There will be no school for Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten on Fri. March 2. The teachers will be attending a conference/workshop.

Box Tops/Campbell Labels . . . . Congratulations to all who participated in the Box Top and Campbell Label Contest. We raised $913.70 in Box Tops and received 11,111 points in Campbell Labels. St. Anne's goal for this year was to raise $3,000 in Box Tops and we have succeeded! So far this school year, we have raised $3,152. Keep up the great work!!

Congratulations to Ms. Krol's class for bringing in 999 in Box Tops and Mrs. Foster's class for bringing in 1,540 in Campbell Label points. Great job by all!!

St. Jude Math-a-Thon . . . . The Math-a-Thon books have been sent home to those who sent in their permission slips. Please return your donation envelopes to the office by Fri. March 9th. You do not need to return the Math-a-Thon books.

Speed Camp . . . . St. Anne Athletes from all sports are invited to register for the St. Anne Eagles Speed Camp to be held on Saturdays in February and March. Please click here for more information.

Fish Fry 2012 . . . . Mark your calendars for the best Fish Fry in town! Beginning on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22nd and continuing every Friday through Lent, the St. Anne Men's Club is hosting their Annual Fish Fry. The Fish Fry is held in the St. Anne Gym from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Dinners are $4.00 and up and carry-out is available. Please click here for more information.

Scrapbooking Event . . . . The St. Anne Madonna Guild is sponsoring the 5th Semi-Annual full day Scrapbook Event on Saturday, April 28th from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Please click here to download and print the Reservation Form. Deadline to register is April 13th.

2012-2013 PSAS Tuition Assistance . . . . The Application for the Archdiocese of Detroit's 2012-2013 Private School Aid Service (PSAS) Tuition Assistance Program is available to download and print. Please click here or go to the Download Forms tab to the left. You may also click here to visit the Archdiocese of Detroit's website for more information.

Current family registration . . . . Students will be bringing home a letter from Mr. Sahadi regarding registration for next school year. Please fill out the registration form on the back of the letter (only one form per family needed) and return it to the office. Deposits are not due until May 2012.

school closing information . . . . For school closing information, here is a list of the television and radio stations to turn or listen to: Television: Channel 2 Fox, Channel 4 WDIV, Channel 7 WXYZ; AM Radio: WWJ 950 & WJR 760. Look or listen for St. Anne Catholic School or St. Anne School to be announced. If you hear Warren Consolidated, do not assume we are closed.

pictures for yearbooks . . . . If you have taken pictures of your child's class activities, sporting events, or any other school activity, please send a select few to Mrs. Weertz in the office. You can send them by email or by putting the pictures on a CD. Please include the activity name, names of students and date.

Discount Cards . . . . The Athletic Booster Club is selling Discount Cards which offer great discounts at many Warren area businesses. Please click here to view all the great discounts you can receive. The cards are $10 and are good through April 30, 2013. Please see Chris Cylkowski, Doug Burg or Jody Campbell to purchase one. Or send your $10 (checks made payable to St. Anne Athletics) to the office along with your name and child's room number. Act fast - there are only 100 cards available.

recess/playground volunteers needed . . . . Do you have an extra hour or two to spare each month? We are in need of additional helpers during recess hours from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please sign up on the calendar outside the main office. As with any volunteer position at St. Anne, you must have taken Protecting God's Children in order to participate. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

late Start Mondays . . . . School will start 45 minutes later than usual - 9:45 a.m. instead of 9:00 a.m. Buses will run 45 minutes later than usual. Dismissal times remain the same. Late start Mondays will continue until further notice (early June.)

absence Reminder . . . . If your child is going to be late or absent, please be sure to contact the office. Even if you inform the teacher about days off, illness, or tardies, the office needs to be informed as well.

SCRIP . . . . This is a program that gives you back money from gift certificate purchases to put towards YOUR TUITION. You may go to www.shopwithscrip.com to place orders. Payment is due in the office on Monday mornings and your order will be available on Fridays. If you are new to the program, please contact the office for more information.

PROTECTING GOD'S CHILDREN.....According to the Archdiocese of Detroit, every person working (or volunteering) in a school environment is required to take the Protecting God's Children Workshop. All teachers, administrators, coaches, lunchroom workers, playground parents, volunteers, room parents, etc. MUST have completed this workshop in order to be part of any school function. If you have not participated in this program, you need to register online at the Archdiocese website (www.aodonline.org) and go to the safe environment tab on the left hand side and then go to Virtus Workshop Schedule & Registration to register for a class.
